Senior Marketing Analyst, Executive Analysis and Reporting—McAfee

The Senior Marketing Analyst is responsible for developing, analyzing, and communicating global marketing performance intelligence that enables informed decision-making at the executive level.

Working with global marketing management, the Senior Marketing Analyst will provide executive-level transparency into marketing’s overall impact on the business. Results will be reported to the Chief Marketing Officer and other senior executives via the Global Marketing Dashboard on a monthly basis and include awareness, demand-generation, and sales enablement performance indicators. Analysis will consider intelligence needs of key executive stakeholders from the various business units, geographies, and segments.

Responsibilities:

  • Comprehensive, monthly impact analysis for Global Field Marketing, Product Marketing, Corporate Communications, Branding, Customer Programs, Marketing Operations, and Consumer.
  • Analyze global marketing results. Work closely with the analyst responsible for global campaign and operational demand generation analytics as well as the global field marketing executives to determine inquiry to closed pipeline impact. Perform trend analysis and translate B2B and Consumer findings in other areas including media share of voice, industry analyst sentiment, web traffic, customer references, aided/unaided brand awareness, sales training and enablement, channel effectiveness, and marketing investment. Identify and resolve data discrepancies/issues.
  • Coordinate with global field, consumer, and corporate marketing executives to communicate impact to senior executives via the Global Marketing Dashboard.
  • Further support global marketing management and executive management by developing online, executive-level demand-generation performance dashboards in Oracle Business Intelligence (OBIEE) that are continually refined and improved over time.
  • Assist in the development of the Business Intelligence (BI) roadmap, monitor progress, and incorporate relevant data sources into marketing analytics as they become available.
  • Establish best-practice reporting processes working closely with marketing automation and IT analytics teams.
  • Roll out dashboards to global marketing and help to drive a consistent and accurate view of marketing data. Assist in the creation of ad hoc Siebel and Eloqua queries to further support business decisions.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 5 years marketing experience that demonstrates a comprehensive understanding of all areas of the marketing mix with a particular emphasis on the B2B demand generation process
  • Data analysis/interpretation/communication experience
  • Proven Business Intelligence (BI) experience – preferably with Siebel Analytics or Oracle Business Intelligence
  • Campaign management or other marketing automation or CRM application experience desired
  • Data mining/predictive analytics experience a plus
  • Strong problem solving skills and the ability to prioritize & work independently
  • Ability to work directly and effectively with fellow team members
  • Demonstrated Excel and PowerPoint proficiency
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, demanding business environment prone to ambiguity and change
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or Finance related field
  • MA/MS, MBA a plus
