Senior Marketing Analyst, Global Campaign/Operational Analysis and Reporting—McAfee

The Senior Marketing Analyst is responsible for developing, analyzing, and communicating global campaign and field marketing performance intelligence to enable informed operational decision-making.

Working with global field marketing, product marketing, and an extended global campaign team, the Senior Marketing Analyst will provide transparency into marketing’s impact on the business. Results will be reported to the Chief Marketing Officer and other senior executives via the Global Marketing Dashboard on a monthly basis and to field marketing executives and global campaign leads on a weekly basis. Weekly operational reports will reveal program/campaign-level lead, conversion, pipeline, and ROMI results used to optimize marketing spend and improve demand generation yield.

Responsibilities:

  • Support global field marketing and product/solution marketing with online reporting dashboards that are continually refined and improved over time.
  • Develop Siebel and Eloqua-generated, demand generation reports for effective monitoring of program/campaign results at the business unit, geography, and segment levels.
  • Analyze global campaign results following lead flow from inquiry to close. Perform trend analysis and translate findings to programmatic or process-oriented areas of success or concern. Communicate campaign impact on a weekly basis. Identify and resolve data discrepancies/issues.
  • Communicate high performing program/campaign results across the marketing organization to allow better insight into and leverage of best practice activities.
  • Coordinate with global field marketing executives and global campaign leads to communicate impact to senior executives via the Global Marketing Dashboard.
  • Assist in the development of the Business Intelligence (BI) roadmap, monitor progress, and incorporate relevant data sources into marketing analytics as they become available.
  • Establish best-practice reporting processes working closely with marketing automation and IT analytics teams.
  • Roll out dashboards to global marketing and help to drive a consistent and accurate view of marketing data. Create a baseline understanding of data definitions and formulas used to derive results. Assist in the creation of ad hoc queries to further support business decisions.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 5 years marketing experience that demonstrates a solid understanding of the B2B demand generation process
  • Data analysis/interpretation/communication experience
  • Proven Business Intelligence (BI) experience – preferably with Siebel Analytics or Oracle Business Intelligence
  • Campaign management or other marketing automation or CRM application experience desired
  • Data mining/predictive analytics experience a plus
  • Strong problem solving skills and the ability to prioritize & work independently
  • Ability to work directly and effectively with fellow team members
  • Demonstrated Excel and PowerPoint proficiency
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, demanding business environment prone to ambiguity and change
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or Finance related field
  • MA/MS, MBA a plus
