Senior Marketing Automation Program Manager—Cisco Systems (Contract Position)

Cisco's WW Field Marketing organization is currently seeking a Program Management role for a highly visible global interactive marketing automation project. This is a consultant position with the possibility to become permanent. The Senior Marketing Automation Program Manager will be responsible for creating business cases, defining key strategies and developing action plans for marketing automation programs to support the WW Field Marketing team's goals and objectives.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and sell business cases for marketing automation programs/projects
  • Define automation strategies and action plans
  • Manage cross functional projects and teams including marketing and IT professionals
  • Deliver project plans using robust project planning tools (e.g. Microsoft Project)
  • Construct, manage and execute executive level communications including internal clients and Marketing IT leaders, peer-level communications with clients and IT
  • Develop comprehensive program budgets working with Marketing IT
  • Project manages specific automation projects

Skills/Background Requirements:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills: able to communicate at all levels of the organization and other peer organizations
  • Strong quantitative skills
  • Excellent project management, organization skills
  • Excellent influencing skills
  • Microsoft Office Suite including strong PowerPoint and Excel
  • Experience with automation program management and managing automation projects as the business lead
  • Candidates should have some experience in marketing ranging from demand generation, interactive marketing, web marketing, lead management, marketing measurement, and call-center management. Skills requirements focus may be needed depending on the project to manage

Background/Experience:

  • 10 – 15 years total work experience with at least 10 years in marketing automation program management and 5 years in marketing role(s).
  • Highly Desirable: Direct experience in interactive marketing, emarketing, web marketing, data management and call center automation projects.
