Senior Manager Marketing Operations, Marketing Planning—Adobe Systems, Inc.
As a member of the Marketing Operations organization, your work will have a direct impact on the effectiveness and efficiency of Adobe’s Marketing team. You will be involved in change management projects that drive incremental improvements across the entire Marketing organization. Specifically, you will manage the strategic planning process and will drive improvements, as well as systems, for these processes. You will work closely with Product, Corporate and Regional Marketing, Finance and IT and will be responsible for managing planning related projects that involve all of these key stakeholders.
The right individual will have experience managing strategic plans for a Marketing team, proven operational and project management skills and a solid understanding of financial processes.
Responsibilities:
- Project management of semi-annual Marketing Strategic Planning process, including tracking against key milestones and deliverables
- Identification and ownership of improvements to the planning process
- Interaction with Marketing VPs and Directors to understand their unique business needs
- Leadership of the Marketing Core Team (a cross-functional team driving Adobe’s Marketing planning and budgeting process)
- Creation and maintenance of grading process for each key milestone of the planning process
- Definition of requirements for future Marketing Resource Management system
- Ownership of the Marketing Operations and Planning website content
- Interpretation and communication of annual industry financial benchmark study
- Assistance with continuous improvement efforts
- Other ad hoc projects
Related Experience & Education:
- 10+ years experience in a marketing operations or marketing strategic planning function required
- Motivated, execution-oriented high performance individual with strong process and metrics focus
- Proven track record in project management of cross-functional teams
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience with a web, desktop or enterprise software company strongly preferred
- Strong influencing and interpersonal skills
- Ability to develop strong relationships with customers and partners
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Masters degree in business administration – Marketing emphasis preferred
- Ability to scale with the business as it grows.
